United Spotlight: Tammy Mozingo Takes the Lead!

We’re proud to shine the United Spotlight on Tammy Mozingo of United Real Estate East Carolina – Greenville, recently sworn in as President of the Coastal Plains Realtors Association.

“Professionally, it was an honor to even be considered for this position,” Tammy shared. With an association that’s been around since the 1950s, her focus is on embracing change—especially through updated technology and better communication with members.

Her leadership slogan for the year says it best: “Together, we can make a change.” Tammy is passionate about increasing engagement and helping members understand that the association is about more than just paying dues or accessing MLS. “It’s more than just paying your dues and getting access to MLS,” she explained. “It’s about participation, connection and awareness.”

On a personal level, this role has been a journey. When first approached about stepping into leadership, Tammy admits her initial response was no—driven by a lack of knowledge about what the role truly involved. “I’m glad I was worn down,” she laughed, reflecting on how eye-opening and rewarding the experience has been.

With firsthand experience navigating today’s market challenges—housing shortages, interest rates and economic shifts—Tammy brings a deep understanding of what Realtors face daily. Her hope for the year ahead is simple yet powerful: more member participation, more knowledge shared and a stronger, more united association.
