Endure Athletics: Making a Difference

“From the moment we learned about Endure, we knew this was the kind of work we wanted to stand behind.”

When Rick and Curran, brokers at United Real Estate Middle Tennessee, opened their brokerage, they were clear about one thing: they wanted to build something rooted in true local impact. They were intentional about finding a community partner that was directly transforming lives right here in their backyard, which ultimately led them to Endure Athletics.

As Lisa shared, “From the moment we learned about Endure, we knew this was the kind of work we wanted to stand behind. Their mission hit us in a way that felt personal.”

A Mission that Goes Beyond the Moment

Endure serves the most vulnerable population in the county: children and youth experiencing homelessness. What inspires the office most is Endure’s relentless, ambitious goal of equipping these youth with the life skills, consistency and support needed to break the cycle of generational poverty.

Lisa put it simply: “They aren’t just helping kids survive the day. They’re helping them build a future they can actually see themselves in.”

Each year, Endure reaches more than 100 youth through free afterschool programs, summer camps, enrichment opportunities and intentional mentorship. But the real impact is seen in the everyday moments. Instead of a child leaving school to face the stress and isolation of a motel room or a car, they are picked up alongside their friends and brought into a space where they feel supported, fed and free to just be kids.

Lisa sees this transformation up close. “It’s not just programming. It’s rewriting a child’s daily reality. It’s giving them a soft place to land in a world that is often anything but soft.”

A Moment that Captured it all

The recent softball tournament supporting Endure carried that same spirit of joy and community. One player shared that as he looked around the field, he felt like there wasn’t anywhere else in the world that could be better.

Lisa said that moment stayed with her. “Hearing that from a kid who has every reason to feel disconnected reminded me why this partnership matters so much. That feeling of belonging is exactly what Endure creates every single day.”

A Culture that Shows Up

For the office, supporting Endure is a natural extension of who they are. Collaboration, kindness, and a lack of corporate stiffness define their culture. Agents often say it feels like a family, and that sense of connection translates directly into how they show up for their community partner.

“This isn’t something we do because it looks good,” Lisa said. “We do it because it feels right. Our people show up for each other, and they show up for this community.”

Whether it’s a celebrity softball tournament, a hat sponsorship, a school supply drive, or wrapping Christmas gifts, the office rallies behind Endure with genuine enthusiasm. And they see the results. With Endure celebrating its first college graduate and several current college students who grew up through the program, the impact is undeniable.

Lisa summed it up best: “Our commitment to the community goes beyond real estate. We are emotionally invested in its future.”
