Real estate isn’t always wins and closings and Dustyn Reed of United Real Estate Middle TN knows that firsthand.

Just weeks before being featured in a local magazine, Dustyn experienced a tough stretch—losing four deals in one month due to inspections, financing and shifting market conditions. A moment that could shake any agent.

And then—the feature hit.

“It felt really good… especially through some of the heartaches I’ve been through lately. It felt like I was finally getting credit for the work I’ve put in.”

But that moment didn’t come overnight.

Dustyn entered real estate in late 2023 while working full-time in management at Nissan. For eight months, he balanced both—closing zero deals. Eventually, he made a decision many Agents wrestle with: go all in.

That decision changed everything.

Within one month, he closed two deals. Over the next eight months, he closed 16. Then 22 in his first full year and he’s on pace for even more.

His biggest lesson? “Sit down with someone who is where you want to be.”
