United Real Estate East Carolina wrapped up the year with one of their most meaningful traditions yet: their annual Q4 Service Project supporting Operation Christmas Child, a global initiative sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse that delivers boxes of necessities, toys and hope to children around the world.
Led by Broker Jennifer Jenkins, the office has embraced this project for six consecutive years — and it’s become a beloved part of their culture. This year, the team packed 41 shoeboxes for boys and girls ages 5–9, filled with toys like jump ropes and soccer balls, plus hygiene items, flashlights with extra batteries and plenty of school supplies.
“The energy is always so high,” Jennifer shared. “Our Agents come in smiling, excited, and ready to give. We joke that we get so energized we pack the boxes too fast! But it’s such a joyful morning together.”
Agents spent the hour packing boxes to Christmas music before gathering for a Friendsgiving-style lunch. For many, the highlight is tracking the boxes and learning where they end up. Last year’s boxes reached two different countries in Africa, and the team will learn in February where this year’s boxes have landed.
For Jennifer, this project is deeply personal. “I’ve been packing shoeboxes since I was a little girl, and now my own kids do it,” she said. “What matters most is the impact — not only meeting practical needs, but sharing kindness and hope with children who might be experiencing it for the very first time.”
A huge congratulations to the incredible agents of United East Carolina for making a global impact and spreading generosity this season.
