Randy Newsome Named 2025 Realtor of the Year

Congratulations Randy!

United Real Estate Bluegrass is proud to celebrate Randy Newsome, Managing Broker, who has been named 2025 Realtor® of the Year — an honor that recognizes decades of leadership, service and unwavering commitment to the real estate profession.

With 36 years in the business and 11 years of board service, Randy’s impact extends far beyond transactions. Over the course of his career, he has served in nearly every leadership role possible, including:

  • Treasurer (2010)
  • President-Elect (2023)
  • President (2024)
  • Immediate Past President
  • Longtime committee member and board leader

Randy describes the award as meaningful not just because of the recognition, but because it affirms that years of service and advocacy were seen and valued. His leadership year as President was especially pivotal, guiding more than 4,200 members through one of the most challenging periods in the industry following the NAR settlement and major contract changes.

“My primary goal was simple,” Randy shared. “Keep our members in business.”

Through legal coordination, contract updates and extensive member training, Randy helped ensure Agents were prepared, informed and supported during a critical transition — all while continuing to serve clients and closing over $7 million in sales in the same year.

At the heart of Randy’s leadership philosophy is mentorship. Inspired early in his career by leaders who didn’t just encourage involvement but actively guided it, Randy has built a reputation for pulling others along, opening doors and serving as a trusted resource — even beyond his own brokerage.

His approach to clients mirrors that same mindset. Whether representing a $100,000 home or a million-dollar transaction, Randy believes every client deserves dignity, advocacy and full transparency.

“People need an advocate — sometimes before they even know they need one.”

As he looks ahead, Randy plans to continue doing what he’s always done: serving, mentoring and showing up — now with an exciting new role on the horizon as he prepares to become a first-time grandfather.

Congratulations, Randy, on this well-deserved honor. United Real Estate is proud to celebrate your leadership, integrity, and lasting impact on our industry!
