Through its long-running Teamwork Tuesday initiative, the brokerage has created a space where agents come together each week to learn, collaborate, celebrate successes, and support one another. According to Scott Ailing, Managing Broker and Director of Agent Culture at Pearson Smith Realty, Teamwork Tuesday was launched shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic as agents began returning to the office. The initiative was created to help agents reconnect in a safe, productive environment while fostering engagement and professional growth. What started as a way to bring agents back together has evolved into one of the company's most impactful ongoing programs. Held every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. across Pearson Smith Realty's Ashburn, Fairfax, and Gainesville offices, Teamwork Tuesday provides agents with a dedicated opportunity to focus on learning, accountability, and collaboration. The sessions are led by Scott Ailing in Ashburn, Heather Berg in Fairfax, and Courtney Stone in Gainesville. While each leader brings their own style to the program, the mission remains the same: keeping agents engaged, productive, educated, and connected. "We start the day positively with 'Wins of the Week,' where everyone shares something good that's happened to them over the past week," said Ailing. "We discuss struggles that agents are dealing with, encouraging support from the hive mind in attendance. We have goal setting and achievement for annual, quarterly, and weekly goals. We discuss contracts, marketing strategies, client care, presentations, and more." The weekly gathering creates an environment where agents can openly share challenges, seek advice from peers, and gain practical insights from experienced professionals. The sessions also feature tips from leaders, partners, and guest speakers, creating ongoing opportunities for professional development. One memorable highlight was a friendly listing presentation competition between the three Teamwork Tuesday groups last fall. "The agents loved it," Ailing shared. In addition to the educational benefits, Teamwork Tuesday has become a powerful reflection of Pearson Smith Realty's culture. Heather Berg, who leads Teamwork Tuesday in the Fairfax office, explained that the program often gives prospective agents an inside look at the brokerage's collaborative environment. "I love using Teamwork Tuesday as a recruiting opportunity to highlight PSR's culture, training, and agent collaboration," said Berg. "Our agents enjoy inviting fellow producers to experience it firsthand, and I always extend an invitation to newly licensed agents during my conversations. Compared to other brokerages, our engaging approach really stands out." The impact of the program extends beyond engagement and recruitment. According to Ailing, leadership has observed a noticeable rise in production among agents who regularly participate in Teamwork Tuesday sessions, reinforcing the value of consistent collaboration, accountability, and shared learning. As Teamwork Tuesday continues to grow, it remains a testament to Pearson Smith Realty's commitment to investing in its people.
