United Real Estate San Diego agent Jim O’Donnell has earned a remarkable distinction. Jim was voted Best Agent in La Mesa for the seventh consecutive year. For Jim, the recognition is more than a title; it’s a meaningful affirmation from the community he lives in, works in, and proudly serves. 

“It’s a great feeling,” Jim shared. “La Mesa is my home. To be recognized by the community year after year brings a big smile to my face. I never take it for granted.” 

Jim credits his consistent success to a combination of transparency, steady communication, and deep-rooted involvement within the community. From staying in touch with past clients to volunteering on local boards, he believes meaningful relationships are the foundation of his business.

“I think people recognize when an agent is truly present—not just working transactions, but serving, showing up, and staying involved,” Jim said. “I stay connected, I follow up, and I’m active in the community. That balance is what keeps me top of mind.” 

This year, Jim did something he rarely does: he gently reminded community members—especially those in the organizations he volunteers with—about the opportunity to vote.

While he’s never campaigned before, he saw another agent actively doing so and decided a simple mention couldn’t hurt. “I’m glad I did,” he said with a laugh. “Just to secure the win!” 

Heading into the new year, the recognition already has Jim feeling energized. “It definitely gives you a kick in your step,” he noted. “As we approach the holidays and gear up for 2025, it’s a great marketing asset. I included it in my year-end client message and my monthly newsletter. Having that logo and recognition behind me helps propel the business forward.” 

After seven consecutive wins, Jim remains both grateful and motivated—continuing to serve La Mesa with the same dedication that keeps his community voting him number one.
