For the past few years, Christine Fitzgerald of United Real Estate San Diego has turned giving back into a personal mission—and this holiday season, her efforts reached 165 families in need.

Christine organizes an annual winter coat drive in partnership with the San Diego Rescue Mission, providing families the opportunity to shop for coats during the holidays with dignity and care. Each year, her initiative grows, supported by her community and fellow agents.

“It’s just something I took on to give back to the community,” Christine said. “And the community has embraced it year over year with tremendous success.”

This year, Christine expanded the drive across multiple locations in San Diego County, resulting in a full SUV of donations and even additional monetary contributions. “This is the first year I had a $50 check donation as well,” she shared. “People wanted to give beyond just the coats.”

Christine coordinates closely with the Rescue Mission to ensure donations are delivered at the perfect time for families and she works alongside fellow United Agent Suzanne Stonehall to motivate and support each other throughout the process. “We market separately, but then we motivate each other as partners in real estate anyway,” Christine said.

Beyond logistics, Christine personally reaches out to her sphere to share updates and connect with her community. “It’s a good time to just be in touch with people I haven’t talked to before the holidays,” she explained. “But most importantly, it’s a good way to give back.”

When asked what message she would give to donors, Christine said, “I couldn’t be more thankful and grateful for my people. They show up when it means the most and they give beyond all expectations.”

Looking ahead, Christine plans to deepen her involvement with a personal tour of the San Diego Rescue Mission in early 2026, sharing the impact and inspiring continued community support.

Christine’s story is a reminder that giving back is not just a nice gesture—it’s a consistent, heartfelt choice that strengthens communities and creates lasting connections!
