Legacy in Motion: A Third-Generation Agent Finds His Start
Because at United, “family” isn’t just something you say. It’s something you build, together, across generations.
At just 22 years old, Prescott Bowden is already carrying forward a family legacy—stepping into real estate as a third-generation Agent. But what makes his story stand out isn’t just the continuity, it’s what that continuity represents inside United: a culture where family isn’t a talking point, it’s something you can see, feel and build within every day.
Growing up around the industry, Prescott was immersed in real estate long before he ever held a license. Conversations about deals, clients, and market shifts weren’t reserved for the office—they were part of everyday life. That kind of exposure doesn’t just create familiarity; it creates perspective. It shapes how you think about relationships, reputation and what it really means to serve people in one of the most important decisions of their lives.
After graduating college, Prescott made it official, earning his license and joining Virtual Properties Realty, a United Family Company, in September. While legacy can open doors, he’s intentional about what comes next.
“I get introduced as ‘Scott’s son,’ but I’m really focused on making my own name.”
That mindset, respecting where you come from while putting in the work to build your own identity, is exactly what turns a legacy into something sustainable. And at United, that balance is not only supported, it’s celebrated.
Seven months into his career, Prescott reached a milestone every Agent remembers: his first closing. But it wasn’t just the transaction that made it meaningful, it was the moment surrounding it. In a full-circle nod to the generations before him, Prescott wore a suit to the closing, just like his dad and granddad did. It was a small detail but one that carried weight—a visual reminder that he’s part of something bigger than a single deal or a single career.
Stories like Prescott’s highlight something unique about United’s culture: families don’t just pass through—they grow here. It’s not uncommon to see multiple generations working side by side, sharing knowledge, supporting each other and building businesses that extend beyond one individual. That kind of environment creates continuity, stability and a deeper level of trust—not just within families, but across teams and communities.
Beyond the milestone, Prescott says the biggest lesson he’s learned so far is simple—but foundational:
“Relationships are everything. In a market with so many Agents, that first meeting matters. If people don’t feel a connection, they’ll move on quickly.”
It’s a lesson he’s seen modeled firsthand, and one that aligns directly with how United operates. Relationships aren’t transactional—they’re long-term, and often generational. When families are involved in the business, that mindset becomes even more powerful, because the focus naturally shifts from short-term wins to long-term impact.
With mentorship from his family, support from his team, and a mindset grounded in growth, Prescott is building more than just a pipeline—he’s building a career with staying power. And in doing so, he’s reinforcing what makes United different: a place where legacy is earned, supported and passed down—not just in name but in values.
Because at United, “family” isn’t just something you say. It’s something you build, together, across generations.
